Hello El Carmen Friends!
Sorry we haven't written in awhile! We have been very busy with learning and have had lots of days off of school because we have had so much snow! We will write later this week to show you pictures of our 100th day of school and some other things we have been learning.
We did not celebrate Peace Day or Carnival, but liked seeing your pictures!
Talk to you soon!
Welcome to Mentor and El Carmen School Blog. Here, American and Spanish kids will work and learn together.

PALEONTOLOGY MUSEUM. EL CARMEN SCHOOL
Hello Orchard Hollow School,
Yesterday we visited the Paleontology Museum we have in Cuenca. We learned many things but we especially liked dinosaurs. We could even create our own dinosaur and take it home.
Here you have some pictures:

OUR PLANTS. EL CARMEN SCHOOL
Hello Orchard Hollow School,
Today we have planted some seeds (chickpeas, beans and lentils) in soil, sand and rocks to see if they grow or not.
We'll see what happens...

CARNIVAL AND SCOTLAND DAY. EL CARMEN SCHOOL
Hello Orchard Hollow School,
Yesterday we celebrated Carnival at school and we came dressed with our costumes.
As one of our teachers is from Scotland, we also played some typical Scottish games such as "Three legged race". Finally, we all danced "ceilidh" and each class received a certificate for the game they had won.
What did you do for Carnival?
